Nóra Szőllősi – Budapest Hungary – First Moon Circles

Nóra Szőllősi is a First Moon Circle Facilitator in Budapest, Hungary

Nora is a 37 years old menstrual cycle awareness educator who lives in Budapest, Hungary with her daughter and husband. Her interest in menstrual cycles came after she spent a weekend with other women on a retreat that focused on this subject. She had a huge AHA moment, as she heard and understood the term menstrual cycle for the first time in her life, and she was already in her late 20’s. To say that she got interested is an understatement. She dove into the topic, found international online courses about menstrual cycle, one teacher and wise woman led her to the other.

That is how she ended up doing Claire Baker’s Cycle Coach School and got to know Charlotte Pointeaux. When she started to learn about her own cycle she had the idea of sharing her newly found passion online. That is how the Ciklus mesék IG profile came alive! It means Cycle Tales in Hungarian. People started to follow and the community grew organically but rapidly and now she has more then twenty-one thousand followers.

She’s holding workshops, circles and lectures to women and men about menstrual cycle awareness. By choosing this path as her work and passion she realised that it healed a long lasting transgenerational trauma in her family that was passed on from mothers to daughters. One of the biggest joys in her life is that her daughter is now raised in a period positive environment where she will get to learn how her body works and build trust in herself around it.

She strongly believes that without this foundation and the knowledge that menstrual cycle awareness provides the lives of menstruators wouldn’t be as full as it could be. That is why she is eager to bring this knowledge to the youngest, and help them build a positive connection with their mind and body! Her strengths are honesty and authenticity, she is not afraid to talk about topics that are naturally part of our lives, but still are considered as taboos.

Janine Begley – Devon UK

Janine is a mother to two young girls and is a certified Women’s Circle facilitator, self employed seamstress and a store manager for a health and well-being store.
She has been holding Circles for two years and after hearing a clear intuitive call, Circles found her!

On experiencing her first Circle, a deep remembering occurred to her and there started a deep transformation and a trusted return to sisterhood.

She is intensely passionate about guiding girls positively through menarche and gifting them with thorough menstrual education. Janine holds a strong vision of empowering girls through working with, and understanding their cycles so that they can feel more confident in themselves as they transition through this major rite of passage.

Perhaps if all girls had access to such positive guidance and an early introduction to supportive sisterhood in a safer space; less women would need to heal from poor early experiences later in their lives?

It’s a question Janine returns to time and time again to cement her vision.
