First Moon Circles are a beautiful and empowering alternative to traditional period education featuring craft, conversations and a special parent-child celebration that educate children to thrive during puberty and the rite of passage of menarche (their first period). These informative, fun and inclusive spaces share wisdom, support, and foster community around young people, and their parents / carers to disrupt the pattern of menstrual and body shame, and to bring periods and puberty out into the open.
Who are these events suitable for?
First Moon Circles are perfect for young people aged 9-12 who will or have just started to menstruate.
**First Moon Circles are inclusive and safe spaces for those who have a uterus and ovaries and menstruate. This includes those identifying as non-binary or trans.**
This circle is hosted by Laura in-person in Central Coast, NSW.
We acknowledge the sovereignty of the traditional owners of the unceeded land on which we are based – the Gundungurra People of the Yuin nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.
