North Warrandyte with Stacey

July 5 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

A fun mother–daughter workshop about puberty, periods & growing up.

Designed for girls aged 9–13 and their mums, First Moon Circles help girls learn about their changing bodies in a relaxed, positive and age-appropriate way.

The workshop is split into two parts:

  • Part 1: A girls-only session covering puberty, periods, body changes, self-care and the menstrual cycle

  • Part 2: Mums join for a shared mother–daughter experience and craft activity

Girls leave feeling informed, supported and more confident about what’s ahead- while mums and daughters share a special experience together.

This gathering is a gentle, empowering space where she can learn, ask questions, and feel proud of this new chapter.

It’s not just education, it’s a celebration of growing up, shared with other girls in a way that’s supportive, special, and deeply memorable.

What to Expect at a First Moon Circle:

First Moon Circle is a relaxed, age-appropriate workshop designed to help girls feel more confident and informed about puberty and periods.

The session is split into two parts.

Part 1: Girls-Only Session

Girls take part in a fun and supportive session covering:

  • Puberty & body changes
  • What a period is
  • The menstrual cycle
  • Period products
  • Open conversation and questions in a safe, comfortable environment
  • Girls also get the chance to see, touch and explore different period products in a relaxed, hands-on way to help them feel more comfortable and prepared for the future.

Part 2: Mother–Daughter Connection Session

Mums then join the circle for a shared experience focused on self-care, connection and support.

Together, mums and daughters take part in a craft activity and share a special moment where mums read a personal letter to their daughters — helping open up positive conversations and creating a meaningful memory to take home together.

The workshop is designed to feel supportive, relaxed and never overwhelming

After the girls-only session, mums, grandmothers or guardians are invited to join us for a relaxed afternoon tea and shared mother–daughter experience.

Together, you’ll take part in a bracelet-making activity designed to help girls understand the menstrual cycle in a simple, visual way — while creating a special keepsake to remember the day.

This part of the workshop is about:

  • creating open, comfortable conversations around puberty and periods

  • helping girls feel supported and prepared for the changes ahead

  • strengthening the mother–daughter connection

  • giving girls space to reflect on what they’ve learned

  • making periods feel less awkward and more normal to talk about at home

Each participant will receive:

  • A take-home gift bag featuring her own ‘moon kit’ (a beautiful zip lock bag with a combination of sanitary samples for her to keep in her school bag- just in case).
  • A 22-page keepsake guidebook created by Charlotte Pointeaux (founder of First Moon Circles, Menstrual Cycle Coach) full of wisdom and knowledge she’ll need to see her through puberty.
  • Plus her own handmade beaded bracelet to remind her of the magic of her cycle and self-care.

Hi I’m Stacey, I am a mum, a school teacher, certified Youth Mentor and First Moon Circle Facilitator.

My passion for empowering and inspiring young people along with the love of travel and adventure has taken me around the world, mentoring and supporting girls at a U.S.A Summer Camp, teaching at a Cambodia Montessori school and completing part of my university degree working with youth at local schools in Timor-Leste.

Red Sisters was born from this deep desire to empower girls and the women around them. Red Sisters offers special experiences to CONNECT. EMPOWER & SELF-LOVE, while instilling the value of self-care and sisterhood.

In particular, teaching girls (and the mums) all about the magic of our menstrual cycle comes from a deep passion for promoting and building self-esteem, “I believe when we learn about our menstrual cycle, we empower ourselves with knowledge, confidence and pride. I believe embracing our menstrual cycle can be an empowering, special and fun experience’.
