MY STORY
Three years ago a friend introduced me to a book called Wild Power, Discover the Magic of your menstrual cycle and awaken to the feminine path to power. I was so excited to learn the wisdom of my own menstrual cycle and at the same time, in disbelief and disappointed that I had not been taught this valuable information earlier. After practicing menstrual cycle awareness for a few more years I realised the impotance of bringing this knowledge to young girls. I want to empower girls to recognise that their bodies are sacred and how to work with their own powerful energies for a more connected cycle experience.

Jo Goddard is a First Moon Circle Facilitator in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. She is the founder of ImHER Women’s Well-being, a space devoted to helping women reclaim their joy, confidence, and connection to themselves. As a pleasure, intimacy, and sensuality mentor, certified Kahuna bodyworker, Reiki Master, and sexological bodyworker, Jo’s work blends deep care with a joyful, down-to-earth approach.
Her passion for supporting women began after her own journey of self-reclamation, and she believes these conversations should start early—long before adulthood—so girls can grow up feeling empowered, informed, and proud of their bodies.
Jo sees First Moon Circles as a powerful way to help young women and their mothers feel connected, confident, and open in talking about periods, body changes, and emotions. She creates a safe, nurturing, and joy-filled space where girls can learn practical cycle wisdom, ask questions without embarrassment, and celebrate this rite of passage as a beautiful part of growing up.
When she’s not facilitating circles or working with women, Jo can be found collecting sea glass along the waterfront at Margate, reading dark fantasy novels, or dancing in the kitchen with her three children while baking something choclatey.
